What is the MHT CET CAP Schedule?
The CAP (Centralized Admission Process) Schedule is the official sequence of dates published by the Maharashtra State CET Cell covering registration, document verification, merit lists, each of the 4 CAP rounds (option form, allotment, seat acceptance), and institute reporting for MHT CET engineering admissions.
What happens after the merit list is published?

If you don't respond to an allotment or fail to report and pay the seat acceptance fee within the window, you typically lose that seat and drop out of consideration for it, though you may still be eligible for later CAP rounds depending on your chosen option (Freeze/Float/Slide) and the CET Cell's rules for that year — check the official notice for the exact consequence, since this detail does change between cycles.
What's the difference between a CAP round and the Spot Round?
CAP Rounds 1–4 are centralized: you submit a preference list and the system allots a seat based on rank, category, and your options. The Spot/Institute-level round that follows is decentralized — remaining vacant seats after CAP Round 4 are filled by individual institutes directly, usually requiring in-person reporting rather than an online option form.
